GREEN BAY, Wis.—
Despite a work stoppage that generally prohibits contact between NFL players and teams, the Green Bay Packers plan to have linebacker Desmond Bishop, quarterback Matt Flynn and offensive lineman Josh Sitton on next month's "Tailgate Tour." The team says the tour will raise money for charities as it visits five cities from May 10-14. The players will join Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy, who played a key role representing owners in recent negotiating sessions over a new collective bargaining agreement. While players and teams generally can't be in contact, a Packers spokesman says the NFL made an exception to allow clubs to support local communities through events that benefit charities. Murphy and the players may speak to one another but won't discuss work-related issues. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-ap-fbn-packers-tailgate,0,3592214.story
