A Packer's Fan Bye Week

It's been a long and productive week, and one that was still chuck full of Packer's football for me. I started off my bye week by watching a recap of ALL the Packers preseason games. And I have to say the BEST preseason game, had to be the Colts vs. the Pack on that Nationally Televised Thursday Night at Lambeau. The Pack were down early in that game, trailing 17-7 in the second quarter, but Rodgers rallied the Packers to a 28-17 halftime lead - including a masterful touchdown drive in the two-minute drill just before halftime. Aaron extended his sizzling start to the preseason, throwing three touchdowns before halftime and made it look easy against the Colts who were blitzing him non-stop. The Packers scored six offensive touchdowns and twice on special teams on their way to a 59-24 preseason rout. Cool notes from that game: Morgan Burnett had his first INT as a rookie! Clay, Jennings, Jenkins, Bigby and a now gone Al Harris did not play in the game. To me that was the BEST preseason game in a very, very long time! Remember, Tara Greene, wife of Packers outside linebackers coach Kevin Greene, sang the national anthem on that special night too! And if the Packers can handle the Steelers blitz like they did against the Colts that night, this coming Sunday night, the Packers will be Super Bowl Champions!

I also did a lot of shopping for Packers merchandise and just in time for the BIG game. I had to go out and find the NFC Conference Champs T-shirt JC Penney's had a ton of them. The sales clerk wondered why they would carry so many of them, I told her it was because they are the GREATEST TEAM EVER! I am waiting on the cool NFC Champ cap because I really want the Super Bowl Champs hat way more!! I also picked up the Official Super Bowl program, a couple of new Packer Pennants for my Packers Shrine, and a few more magazines, S.I. etc. The only other item that I will be getting before the Super Bowl is the NEW XLV Packers Title-Town Towel and that will happen by this weekend.

It has been really great doing the whole "Tweeter" thing, this last week, as so many people that I follow are going to the BIG game. I can say that I am jealous and I really wish I could be there to immerse myself into the whole "once in a lifetime" Packers Super Bowl XLV moment. I guess I can only hope for a REPEAT! So for this Sunday, I will be entertaining many friends and family in the Packer Shrine, while serving some very tasty food and refreshing beverages. The music will be loud, the BIG Screen will be fired up and non-stop cheering will commence. So until then, you can catch me on the "Tweeter" as I will be tweeting away and following all the pre-game action and analysis on TV.

Let's Go! Pack Go!
